Pro Mach, Inc. (promachinc.com) has acquired the assets of Tekkra Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of shrink wrapping and bundling machinery based in Romeoville, Illinois. Tekkra will join Pro Mach’s new Flexible Packaging Group, which offers solutions including Matrix vertical form fill and seal systems, Rennco vertical bagging systems, Toyo Jidoki pouch packaging systems, and Inever stickpack and sachet packaging systems.

Tekkra’s intermittent and continuous motion bundling and shrink wrapping systems deliver high performance packaging automation for dairy, food, bakery, beverage, personal care, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Tekkra’s innovative designs and high product quality have resulted in outstanding customer satisfaction and strong growth.

Pro Mach formed its Flexible Packaging Group earlier this year. Pro Mach now sells and supports numerous flexible packaging machinery solutions across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Latin America. Flexible packaging was a natural growth market for Pro Mach, a leading manufacturer of primary and secondary packaging, processing, end of line, material handling, and identification and tracking solutions as well as complete, turnkey integrated systems. Pro Mach’s growth in flexible packaging strengthens its position as a single source provider for its customers’ entire packaging line.

“We are enthusiastic about adding the Tekkra line to our product portfolio,” says Troy Snader, senior vice president of Pro Mach’s Flexible Packaging Group. “Tekkra solutions are well designed, high performing products that deliver excellent value. They complement our existing offering and will allow us to provide customers with a wide range of high quality flexible packaging solutions.”

Eric Vorm, president at Tekkra Systems, will join Pro Mach as vice president and general manager of Tekkra. He will report to Barry Heiser, President of Pro Mach's End of Line and Flexible Packaging Groups. "This is an outstanding opportunity for our customers to achieve greater value from their packaging investments," says Barry Heiser. "Our capabilities as a single source provider for integrated products across the entire packaging line are unparalleled in the industry. That’s a significant investment and risk reduction advantage for our customers."

"This is a win-win for our customers and team," says Tekkra president Eric Vorm. "As part of Pro Mach we will be able to provide our customers with a more integrated product line across their end-of-line and flexible packaging operations. We also have an outstanding opportunity to expand our capabilities and create synergies with other Pro Mach brands that provide the most effective solutions for our customer’s unique needs."
