Nordson Corporation’s (nordson.com) Swainsboro, GA, facility is an honored recipient of the President’s “E” Award for Exports, presented to them by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. The “E” Awards are the highest recognition any U.S. entity may receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports.
“Since its founding in 1954, Nordson has grown successfully by taking a global approach to its business,” says Chris Brooks, Nordson director of engineering and operations. “In 2013, approximately 70% of Nordson’s $1.5 billion sales were outside of the United States. Exports are an important part of our global strategy and help supplement our local in-country manufacturing, assembly and service activities around the world to support our customers at the highest levels.”
