Boxed Water partners with National Forest Foundation to plant one million trees by 2020
Largest commitment to NFF’s tree-planting program kicks off with Boxed Water’s “Retree Project”
Boxed Water, an environmentally conscious and BPA-free alternative to bottled water, announces a partnership with National Forest Foundation (NFF, nationalforests.org) to plant one million trees by 2020. Boxed Water’s goal to plant one million trees represents the largest single tree-planting commitment to date for the NFF and marks the start of a five year effort to plant trees in areas of our National Forests with highest ecological significance.
The partnership will kick-off in April 2015 with the company’s commitment to plant two trees for each Boxed Water photo fans post to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #ReTree. With the help of consumers, Boxed Water aims to plant 100,000 trees in Oregon’s Deschutes National Forest as a result of photos submitted from April to June 2015.
