Lou Fenech is a Principal Engineer for Mondelēz International which operates in 150 countries globally. Mondelēz owns iconic brands such as Oreo, belVita, Cadbury, Milka, Toblerone, Sour Patch Kids and Trident.
Lou currently leads packaging sustainability for the Gum, Candy, and Powdered Beverage categories globally. He is responsible for helping to deliver the company’s sustainability goals, which include designing all packaging for recyclability by 2025, ensuring all paper-based packaging will be sustainably sourced by 2020, and eliminating 65 million kg of packaging by 2020. Lou also has responsibility for Intellectual Property for Packaging R&D. Lou holds a B.S. Degree in Packaging Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a proud father of two. In his free time, he enjoys the culinary arts including making his own charcuterie and BBQ.
