Tom McLenithan has been in the packaging industry for 34 years and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Tom exhibits strong problem-solving skills using his background in mechanics and electrical engineering. He started his career as the Plant Electrician and Mechanic, running rotary drum equipment to package coffee in filter packs. He currently serves as the VP of Research and Development and has previously served as VP of Operations and Business Development. His constant progression shows his drive and in-depth understanding of products, processes, and product development. For the last 23 years he has specialized in water-soluble packaging, with several patents in this industry. He has led the way in pod design and in continuous motion packaging equipment that can do complicated multi-chamber pods at speeds over 1,200 per minute. Tom and his wife have lived in Illinois for almost 40 years, originally from a rural town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He is the father of four and a grandfather of three, with their fourth grandchild due in June. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, cross-country camping with his family, hunting, and fishing the big waters of the Great Lakes.
