Vicky Smitley

Vicky has been involved with the Contract Packaging Association for nearly 20 years and currently serves as its past president. In her present role, she serves on the board of directors, represents the association on a variety of industry panels and contributes to various trade publications. Vicky is passionate about raising awareness about career opportunities within the packaging industry specifically within contract manufacturing and packaging space. Vicky’s work with the CPA includes assisting with annual scholarship awards, global outreach to other packaging affiliates and various committee activities.
Vicky recently retired from Hearthside Food Solutions where she served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for 25 years. Hearthside Food Solutions is the industry’s largest food contract manufacturer and the largest private bakery. During her tenure with HFS, Vicky worked both nationally and internationally connecting clients and friends in the industry to solutions - whether it be a product, package or exclusive manufacturing agreement.
Vicky and her husband Robert enjoy country living near Champaign, Illinois, and together enjoy traveling, boating and – on a rare occasion – doing absolutely nothing and enjoying every minute of it.
