New PAC is funded by voluntary personal contributions of FPA members and supports candidates for political office who understand the broad array of issues facing the packaging industry.
This year’s first winner was a student from California Polytechnic State University, and the second place winner was a team of students from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
A total of 323 entries were submitted for the 2023 Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Competition, with the award winners recently announced in Amelia Island, Florida.
The outlook for flexible packaging in the U.S. remains positive, despite the continued pressure that persists around packaging waste in general, and single-use plastic packaging specifically. The industry was estimated at approximately $31.8 billion in annual sales in the U.S. for 2018 with a steady growth rate of 2.7%.
