CMD Corporation has acquired Ligornetto, Switzerland-based advanced converting solutions provider flex4 of. The acquisition will expand CMD’s international footprint to include a Europe-based service center.

flex4 is an established supplier of service support for all brands of pouch equipment throughout Europe. They will continue to service their existing customers, and will now also offer CMD pouch machinery customers - directly and through CMD agents - an array of services provided by experienced technical experts.

flex4 will also support CMD agents throughout Europe by providing quick, reliable equipment service response for their customers. CMD agents may expand their pouch machinery offerings to include the full line of flex4 products and services to their customers. Customers of CMD bag converting equipment will benefit from the new regional service center by having a nearby location from which service, support and technical consultation can be easily and quickly dispatched.

CMD and flex4 have collaborated on projects and customer support in the United States and Europe for three years, and have established an excellent working relationship.
