Ricardo Abud is the new president for CMD Corp. (cmd-corp.com). Abud will lead the company on its commitment to advancing equipment technology to bring next-level success to customers; expanding CMD’s international footprint and market presence; and fostering a culture of customer focus.

Abud joined CMD in 2016 as VP of marketing and business development.  His responsibilities included leading three business unit teams; analysis and expansion of international product portfolio, and most recently, as chief operating officer. Abud has over 28 years of domestic and international business experience in the food, paper and capital equipment industries. He has held a wide range of manufacturing, technical and sales roles throughout his career. Prior to joining CMD, Ricardo was the global sales director for PCMC, with previous experience as the managing director for Schreiber Foods Uruguay operation, and general manager of Schreiber’s Machinery Division.

“Ricardo brings a dynamic blend of vision, experience and energy to lead CMD to next-level success. He has been successful in a variety of challenging and diverse positions including sales and business development, marketing, and executive-level leadership. He is well prepared to assume the role of president,” said exiting CMD President, Steve Sakai, who will remain at CMD for a brief transition period and retire in May. He will continue as member of the Board of Directors.
