Toray Plastics (America) Inc.’s, recent installation of new coating technology has enabled the company to broaden its LumiLid brand polyester lidding film platform.Value-added clear, white and metallized lidding film structures that incorporate specialty performance sealant layers and deliver specified performance and seal-strength characteristics are increasingly sought.

Toray’s LumiLid clear, white and metallized lidding films, provide excellent oxygen barrier and are FDA-compliant and dual-ovenable. In addition, they offer an environment-friendly, solvent-free formulation and low seal initiation temperature (SIT), and supply a clean, secure seal, even on pleated corners, to APET, APET-coated board, CPET, PP, HDPE, and HIPS trays.
