Q: What do you hope attendees will be able to extract from the show?

A: Hi Erin and thanks for taking the time to talk to me about the International Converting Exhibition, ICE USA 2015 in Orlando.

As in the past, ICE USA 2015 will have the largest array of converting machinery, equipment supplies and materials of any North American show since the last ICE USA held in 2013. This year we have a number of new exhibitors bringing in machinery for the first time. New Era will also be bringing the largest piece of equipment we have ever had on display at the show. We will have more slitters, coating, extrusion coating, laminating, die cutting and drying equipment, from more companies, alongside many companies with offerings for web inspection and monitoring, plasma and other treating processes. All types of adhesives and substrates will be on display, along with a number of toll converting companies who do specialized work.

Q: How will readers of Flexible Packaging benefit from participating in this trade show?

A: One of the most popular and unique features at the show is the Ask the Experts pavilion. Here visitors can find solutions to specific technical challenges by speaking one on one with industry consultants widely recognized for their expertise in specific segments in the converting industry. These free private 15-minute consultations allow visitors to meet in an environment where they can openly discuss challenges and issues that they would not bring up in front of competitors or other visitors. Many of our experts will also be presenting papers at one of our conferences, and visitors can follow up to get more detailed information The experts encourage anyone who stops in to see them to bring samples of their materials, visually demonstrating the problems they may be having, or even bring in materials that they are having difficulty converting. Q: Knowing the show is already receiving a large welcome, what tidbits would entice readers who might be undecided about attending this year's show?

A: There is more useful converting information and knowledge at ICE USA than at any other exhibition in America. Along with all of the exhibits showcasing the latest equipment, materials, services and supplies, ICE USA 2015 will feature the most comprehensive educational program in the converting industry. During the trade show, we will be holding the ICE USA Conference, offering an array of technical sessions featuring key insights from some of the industry’s leading experts. The robust conference program features nearly forty educational sessions designed to provide converting professionals with knowledge they can use to enhance their companies’ performance and productivity.

Each day will begin with a thought-provoking keynote presentation, which is free to all registered ICE USA attendees. The keynote presentation will be followed by three concurrent 2-hour technical sessions (one in each track) led by well-known industry experts.

Q: Any additional details of note?

A: ICE USA 2015 offers many opportunities for exhibitors and visitors to get together. The ICE USA Golf Tournament will be held on February 9, 2015 at the Shingle Creek Golf Club.  Located at the Rosen Shingle Creek, the award-winning Shingle Creek Golf Club is one of Florida's most prestigious golf courses.

The tournament will follow a Four Man Scramble format, allowing golfers of all skill levels to have an enjoyable experience. Come enjoy a round of golf, host clients and mix and mingle with industry colleagues.

New for 2015 is the ICE USA Networking Party. All attendees and exhibitor staff of ICE USA 2015 are welcome at the Inaugural ICE USA Networking Event.

Join us on Tuesday, February 10 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on the show floor at the rear of the hall.  Mix and mingle with customers, vendors, colleagues, and associates.  Enjoy a cocktail, snacks, and some great entertainment. ICE USA is pleased to announce that the Landsharks will be performing at the event. 

Also new for 2015 is the ICE USA Recruitment Wall. Looking for a new job? Many exhibitors have told the ICE USA team that finding qualified candidates for their job openings can be a challenge. And many attendees have a difficult time finding the right job. Now ICE is going to help make it a little easier for both. We call it the Recruitment Wall, a place on the show floor where attendees looking for a career change can go to see current job postings of exhibiting companies.
