SPE to Hold Flexible Packaging Conference in October
Following a successful 2014 conference, the Society of Plastics Engineers will again hold its flexible packaging conference in a combined event with the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters, and Laminators.
The joint conference will be held October 25-28 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Fla.
Nearly 400 industry professionals attended the combined event in 2014, which included more than 100 presentations and over 75 exhibitors.
The 2015 program will consist of parallel tracks that address extrusion, coating, lamination, metallization, and converting, along with the performance requirements driving design for flexible packaging. Presentations will include recent developments in machinery, materials, and packaging designs for applications ranging from food to electronics to transportation. Among issues faced by consumer product companies that may be addressed are food preservation and supply chain security.
The event will begin with a series of seminars or tutorials providing in-depth overview of the technologies addressed in the event.
