New Insight on Barrier Materials for Flexible Packaging

By Emma Klug
March 30, 2016

A new study from Allied Development includes need-to-know information on the future of the barrier materials market, which is projected to grow 2.7 percent per year through 2020 to reach $13 billion.

Ideal for converters, raw material suppliers, equipment and machinery suppliers, brand owners and industry analysts, "Barrier Materials for Flexible Packaging 2016 to 2020" examines a range of barrier materials that are used in the production of flexible packaging.

The study, which is comprised of more than 400 pages of detailed data, is broken up into several different sections: an introduction, executive summary, technology, economic and environmental case studies, a glossary and market trends and projections.

The case studies featured in the study compare the relative economics of barrier materials at various levels of oxygen barrier over time, while the market trends and projections section contains an analysis on the drivers and trends for each barrier material and the historical and projected consumption for each material through 2020.
