Uflex has developed a new cast polypropylene (CPP) film with robust seal performance, a film designed for widespread use in addressing different types of packaging challenges that require superior sealing functionality.
This CPP film increases the shelf life of packaged products from about six months to one year and has four traits that make it stand out from other types of CPP and polyethylene films: low seal initiation temperature, high and broad hot tack strength, good hermeticity and good optics.
The film is available in variants such as plain, metallized and white CPP. Its applications include snack packaging, condiment packaging and over the mountain (OTM), as the film offers good performance even at low atmospheric pressure. A 2-layer laminate of this film can replace 3-layered traditional laminates to withstand nitrogen flushing.

The film was launched last February and is currently available.
