As part of strategic investments and disinvestments to enhance its product and service offerings for packaging printers, Siegwerk has invested significantly in the expansion of its water-based ink business.

tesa tape officially broke ground on an expansion to its Sparta, Michigan, manufacturing facility last month, a move the company says will strengthen its growing North American business. 

The flexible packaging industry is now well ahead of pre-recession levels and it’s expected that consolidation through mergers and acquisitions (M&As) will continue.

Industry experts argue that the sustainable properties of plastic, particularly plastic film labels, make the material a prime choice for consumers, manufacturers and brands that seek an eco-friendly alternative.
