Show Preview: ICE USA 2017

Reasons to Attend ICE

The biennial trade show returns to Florida from April 25-27.

February 8, 2017

ICE USA, the International Converting Exhibition scheduled this year from April 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, is the only dedicated event for the conversion of paper, film, foil, nonwovens and other flexible web-based materials in the Americas. This leading exhibition, which is in its 4th year running, is anticipated to be bigger and better than ever with converting industry experts gathering to see state-of-the-art machinery, technology and manufacturing solutions.

Here are just a few reasons why attending ICE USA equips attendees for a more successful tomorrow in this growing market segment.

Immerse Yourself in the Show Floor

Attendees of ICE USA will have three days to navigate 250-plus booths, looking at cutting-edge products and technologies, asking questions, getting face time with top names in the industry and seeing all the machines in action.

A wide array of exhibitors will showcase their new machinery and services from key areas and processes of converting, including base materials such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens; web coating/laminating; drying/curing/moisturizing; (pre) treatment; extrusion coating; slitting/rewinding; flexographic/rotogravure printing; pouch manufacturing; factory management/software; toll coating/converting/slitting; drives, automation and controls; die cutting/perforating/embossing; cores/core cutters; web accessories and components; reel handling; sheeting; machine upgrades/retrofits; lathe slitting; inspection, test and measurement; metallizing/vacuum coating; prepress systems; adhesives, inks, coating and sealants; services, information and consulting; and carton and paperboard converting.

Converting pain points keeping you up at night? Presentations in the Future of Converting Theater on the expo floor will discuss best business practices, workforce development issues, regulatory topics and more from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. all three days of the show.

Learn a Thing or Two

ICE USA’s extensive educational program provides the latest industry information presented by the professionals who know best. The ICE USA Technical Conference is organized by the Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL), and consists of two concurrent tracks running from 8 – 10 a.m. during the three show days. These non-commercial presentations will cover current research, new technology or best practices across a variety of topics.

The AIMCAL Fundamentals Course is a one-day program (Monday, April 24, from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) not to be missed. The courses are for anyone involved in coating and drying or slitting and rewinding operations of paper, film, nonwovens and other continuous flexible materials. The program offers a choice between seminars covering fundamentals of coating and drying, and slitting and rewinding, which will be led by consultants and converting professionals, each within their area of expertise.

Be sure to catch the keynote presentation on Tuesday, April 25, at
9 a.m. with Dr. Robert Fry, former chief economist at Dupont, who will discuss current conditions in the global economy and the outlook for future growth, with an emphasis on global manufacturing and the health of the overall U.S. economy.

Ask the Experts

Have a question on one of your converting processes? Bring it to the show’s team of experts and receive personal advice from some of the most accomplished engineers in the industry.

A wide range of converting industry experts will be available to meet privately with attendees to help solve strategic, technical and operational challenges. Learn about the experts and make your complimentary 15-minute appointment at the ICE USA website (www.ice-x-usa.com).

Schmooze

ICE USA will host two nights of networking receptions on the show floor, where attendees can share ideas, develop new business partnerships and learn from industry leaders. These networking receptions are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 – 5 p.m.

2-for-1 Deal

All attendees of ICE USA will experience one of the best BOGO offers around: Registrants will also grant visitors admission to the co-located event InPrint USA 2017, the Industrial Print Exhibition.

InPrint is the only tradeshow in the U.S. exclusively designed for print technology used in manufacturing. The event has become the key marketplace in Europe for functional, decorative and packaging printing in industrial production. This April will mark its U.S. debut. InPrint is widely recognized for offering expertise and cutting-edge technology, product launches and showcases in the fields of industrial specialty, screen, digital, inkjet and 3D technology print solutions.
