Printpack to Introduce Recyclable PE Bag, Pouch for Pet Foods
Printpack has plans to launch a pair of new flexible packaging formats prequalified for the How2Recycle store drop-off recycling stream. It will release a large-format, quad-seal polyethylene bag to cater to dry pet food applications as well as an easy-tear, standup polyethylene pouch for pet treats. Each package will still utilize the full spectrum of color graphics in Printpack’s expansive portfolio and completely protect the integrity of the product throughout its lifecycle.
Printpack will make the introduction at the 2017 Petfood Forum.
“By offering prequalified solutions, Printpack is aiming to make it as straightforward as possible for brands to meet their sustainability goals for packaging,” says David McLain, market development manager, Printpack.
“In addition to our prequalified options, our experience in the qualification process affords Printpack a deep understanding of the types of formats that are good candidates for the How2Recycle store drop-off label.”
