New Era Converting to Show High-Speed Coating, Laminating Line at ICE USA

April 19, 2017

New Era Converting Machinery Inc. will show a complete coating and laminating line in Booth 501 at the upcoming ICE USA show in Orlando, Florida, April 25-27.

The coating line is a purpose-built machine capable of running at 500 fpm under constant, closed-loop tension control. The machine can handle 50-inch diameter input bundles at 60 inches wide, laminating two materials prior to windup. Featured is a specialty coating station which is of modular design to allow the customer to change coating technologies in the future as their business grows.

“This new machine will have much greater throughput than existing equipment,” says John Looser, New Era regional sales manager. “It is capable of running at higher speeds and wider web widths, and takes advantage of the improved efficiency of running larger incoming and outgoing roll diameters. The operation is improved dramatically with the updated drive and control system, the ease and repeatability of setting and recalling operating parameters results in a high level of performance stability.”

This is the first time New Era will be bringing a fully integrated equipment line to the show, and visitors will be able to see the entire process line assembled in its operating state while having the opportunity to speak with the technical staff on hand about how it all works.
