Package Concepts & Materials’ large-scale building project to its facility in Greenville, South Carolina, is now underway and is scheduled to be completed this summer.

Company officials say the $3 million expansion will add 30,000 square feet to its original facility, and is expected to bring 30 new jobs to the Greenville area. In addition to this, Package Concepts says it will be better suited to collaborate with food manufacturers, universities and raw material suppliers for enhanced production of quality consumer meat and poultry products.

The expansion will also help Package Concepts to better provide these services by accomodating a $2.5 million 7-ply extrusion system, which increases its cook-in casing capacity by more than 20 percent, company officials say.
