Sun Chemical to Showcase Barrier Coatings, Films at Global Pouch Forum

June 13, 2017

Sun Chemical will showcase its SunBar (Aerobloc) oxygen-barrier coatings during the Global Pouch Forum June 14-16 in Miami.

Visitors to booth #B33 will learn how Sun Chemical’s SunBar (Aerobloc) oxygen-barrier coatings offer converters cost-effective, durable and sustainable films that support lighter weight packaging trends by creating a homogenous, pinhole-free and flexible gas barrier layer that can be easily overprinted with inks and laminated to a variety of secondary films.

A compostable, chlorine- and metal-free alternative, SunBar (Aerobloc) oxygen-barrier coatings also offer a reduced carbon footprint and easy application with few changes to current equipment.

Through its partnership with ACPO Ltd., Sun Chemical can also deliver SunBar (Aerobloc) pre-coated films to converters, allowing customers to have alternative barrier films at an economical price and improved barrier protection without needing to make capital investments in a coating unit. SunBar (Aerobloc) coated films from ACPO are an excellent choice for clear high-barrier flexible packaging structures and also for ultra-high barrier metallized film structures.

Held at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami, this year’s Global Pouch Forum will cover upcoming trends and themes affecting pouch formats in packaging and their growth prospects worldwide.
