Tekni-Plex Inc. has acquired the self-adhesive tape substrate business of Alfatherm SpA in Venegono Superiore, Italy. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will be integrated into the company’s Tekni-Films Gallazzi operation located nearby in Gallarate.

“The acquisition will help support Tekni-Films’ growing tape substrate business,” says Joseph Horn, senior vice president and general manager at Tekni-Films. “We will be able to better serve converters across Europe who produce self-adhesive tapes for a wide variety of packaging applications.”
