MacDermid Graphics Solutions (MGS), a division of MacDermid Performance Solutions, has appointed Alicia Gibson as global strategic marketing and portfolio manager. 

 

Gibson comes to MacDermid with over 15 years of specialty chemical and product management experience. Before joining MGS, Alicia served as carbonates segment marketing manager for Imerys and as marketing manager for OCI Chemical’s soda ash and sodium percarbonate business, where she coordinated both marketing and technical service departments. 

 

“Alicia’s extensive experience in managing new product development projects will be instrumental in her new role at MacDermid,” said Melanie Galloway, MGS Global senior vice president and general manager. “She will also be tasked with working with the leadership team to further develop and implement the strategic marketing plan for MacDermid Graphics Solutions.”

 

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Alicia’s role will focus on growth for MacDermid’s extensive product lines of printing plate technologies through the identification of market needs, new product development and new product introduction.

Alicia earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering, a certificate in pulp and paper engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, and an MBA from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. She resides in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband and daughter.
