Goss, manroland web systems to Merge; Contiweb to Operate as Independent Company
Goss International’s printing press division and manroland web systems, both manufacturers and service providers of web offset printing systems, plan to combine. The combined company will benefit from the companies’ complementary geographic footprints, create extensive synergies, ensure long-term viability and provide value-oriented solutions, especially in the area of aftermarket services. In the future, the new entity will be a strong business partner to all international web printers.
Subject to regulatory approval, the merger is expected to be completed by the middle of 2018. The combination is not expected to impact any current business of both companies. The Contiweb business of Goss International is not included in this transaction, and is expected to separate and operate as an independent company following the merger.

As an independent company, Contiweb will continue its growth in becoming the premier ancillary supplier for commercial and digital inkjet printing applications and press supplier for label and packaging applications. In addition, Contiweb will also continue its strong focus on product lifetime support by offering its full suite of aftermarket solutions for customers
