Cortec® continues to be a leader in electronics packaging innovation with its new release of EcoSonic® VpCI®-125 HP Permanent ESD Stretch Film. Unlike the plethora of “pink poly” stretch films on the market to protect against electrostatic discharge (ESD), EcoSonic® VpCI®-125 HP Permanent ESD Stretch Film offers permanent ESD protection properties that last throughout the product’s life, taking the guesswork out of shelf life and shipping stability concerns for easier inventory management and more confident protection. The new stretch film meets static decay requirements per MIL-STD 3010, Method 4046 before and after being stretched, providing static dissipation during wrapping and beyond for better quality assurance.

Two-in-One ESD + Corrosion Protection

Like other packaging options in the EcoSonic® line, EcoSonic® VpCI®-125 HP Permanent ESD Stretch Film adds the special dimension of corrosion protection, making it an excellent choice for electronics at risk for both static and corrosion damage. Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors in the film diffuse throughout the enclosed package, forming a protective molecular layer on multiple metal types being shipped or stored in uncontrolled environments. Now in stretch wrap form, these dual properties provide an excellent option for companies shipping and handling large electronics modules that need to be secured on pallets.

Not Just for Electronics

Thanks to its permanent static dissipative properties, EcoSonic® VpCI®-125 HP Permanent ESD Stretch Film is also an excellent option for other industries where static is a concern. For example, munitions and fertilizers are two industries where it is imperative to reduce static exposure as much as possible. This can be difficult during stretch wrapping, when static naturally builds up under low-conductivity, high friction conditions. While antistatic stretch film is not the only precaution that should be taken, using permanent antistatic stretch wrap is a great step as part of a larger static reduction strategy.

An Easy Addition to the Packaging Process

EcoSonic® VpCI®-125 HP Permanent ESD Stretch Film can be used on standard stretch-wrapping equipment. It is safe to handle and apply. Moreover, the translucent nature of the film facilitates inspection and inventory without packaging removal.
