The Flexible Packaging Association’s 2013 FPA Annual Meeting was recently held February 26-28, 2013 at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. Attendees included 300 FPA members and guests who participated in content-rich general sessions that focused on flexible packaging industry-specific challenges and opportunities. The Meeting also provided great networking opportunities for industry leaders and peers.

Jon Huntsman, Jr. former Governor of Utah and former U.S. Ambassador to China, addressed FPA members and guests during the Annual Meeting Luncheon, during which he discussed key issues and challenges facing America today.

Tom Cochran, president, Amcor Flexibles Americas and Medical Europe, and chairman of the FPA Board of Directors, opened the Annual Meeting Educational Sessions with an overview of the State of the Flexible Packaging Industry, and Jan Homan, chairman, Constantia Flexibles, and chairman of Flexible Packaging Europe provided an Update on the European Flexible Packaging Market. Don Reynolds, the Paranoid Optimist, discussed Real World Economics, Nick Vafiadis, Business Director, Polyolefins, CMAI/IHS, shared his bi-annual Update on Flexible Packaging Materials. Reducing Risks Through Reorganized Systems was examined by Thomas Bouraoui, corporate director of Quality & Continuous Improvement for Exopack, LLC, and Brian Wagner, vice president, Consulting Services, and Jill Ahern, director, consulting services for PTIS, discussed Consumer Insights on Packaging Development.
