American Packaging Corp. Flexographic Printing & Laminating facility located in Story City, Iowa announces that it received ISO 14001:2004 registration for its environmental management systems.

The scope of the registration confirms its environmental management systems provide the means of planning, measuring and improving environmental performance throughout the entire facility. The environmental system applies to all activities, including product design and printing, laminating, coating, slitting, pre-forming packaging and on-site warehousing of said products provided by American Packaging Corp.

Sustainable production is the creation of goods and services using processes and systems that are: non- polluting; conserving of energy and natural resources; economically efficient; safe and healthful for workers, communities, and consumers. Ray Graham, operations manager for the facility says, “By achieving ISO14001:2004 registration, American Packaging Corporation demonstrates its commitment to protecting the environment and confirms proper utilization of resources to our customers and to the communities where we work.”
