The board of directors of American Packaging Corp., announces the approval of the next $18 million expansion project in Columbus, Wis., at its Rotogravure Printing and Laminating Division. This is one of several major expansions that have been approved in recent years for the company.

This includes state-of-the-art equipment, investing in new technologies and attracting the best workers in the industry”.

 

Within the last seven years, the company has invested over $150 million in new capital equipment and facility upgrades. The newest project includes installation of a custom built Comexi Acom Platinum 10 station gravure press, additional building construction, as well as upgrades to existing equipment to satisfy increased demand for capacity. The expansion is expected to create at least 20 new jobs. Keeping with the company’s strong sustainability commitment, both building and equipment will be built with a green focus, including natural lighting, alignment of equipment to support automation, increased use of robots and zero waste core cutting equipment.
