Reusables Learning Center Adds to PACK EXPO Green
PACK EXPO Green leads the way for attendees searching for sustainable solutions
PMMI, owner and producer of PACK EXPO, is pleased to announce PACK EXPO Green will return to PACK EXPO Las Vegas (Sept. 23–25, 2013; Las Vegas Convention Center) with a new addition – the Reusables Learning Center (Booth S-6458), endorsed by the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA).
The Reusables Learning Center will feature free education sessions to help attendees better understand the integration of reusable transport packaging into the supply chain and optimizing their return on reusable assets.
“Educational opportunities on the show floor have continued to expand,” says Jim Pittas, vice president of trade shows at PMMI. “The Reusables Learning Center will complement them and help customers easily identify exhibitors offering sustainable solutions.”
PACK EXPO Green brings attention to the many sustainable solutions on the PACK EXPO show floor. The program, now in its sixth year, highlights exhibitors with a focus on sustainable solutions, ranging from environmentally-friendly materials to energy efficient equipment with PACK EXPO Green icons appearing online at Packexpo.com, on signage at exhibitors’ booths, and in the PACK EXPO Show Guide.
“PACK EXPO is the most comprehensive resource for the innovation and insights manufactures need to drive sustainability initiatives,” adds Pittas. “Through PACK EXPO Green, attendees can easily discover a wide range of machinery and materials to refresh existing brands, introduce new products, streamline operations and meet their sustainability goals.”
In addition to helping customers find the best solutions for their packaging and processing needs, PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, works with its convention center partners to minimize the environmental impact of the PACK EXPO event by:
- Eliminating badge holders which will keep waste of out landfills
- Using environmentally-friendly products to replace 20,000+ gallons of chemicals
- Ensuring all paper products at the Las Vegas Convention Center are made from recycled materials.
