Markem-Imaje Announces Acquisition of CSAT
Integration of CSAT’s high-resolution digital printing systems strengthens Markem-Imaje array of technologies, solutions and services.
Markem-Imaje, a Dover company, has confirmed the acquisition of Heidelberg CSAT GmbH (CSAT) from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, with economic effect on January 1, 2014. CSAT, headquartered in Eggenstein, Germany, is a manufacturer in printing systems for the pharmaceutical and labeling industries.
According to Markem-Imaje President Serge Kral, the acquisition expands Markem-Imaje’s technology portfolio and broadens the market reach of CSAT’s solutions through their expansive geographical coverage and services presence.
Kral explains, “This acquisition is part of Markem-Imaje’s focused strategy to broaden our technological expertise, expanding our ability to exceed the expectations of existing and new customers with ever more specific, effective solution sets delivered by our vast global sales and service network.”
