As part of its wide range of custom equipment offerings, New Era Converting Machinery, Inc. has a unique solution for unwinding and splicing scrim web materials.  Its proprietary design features several innovations allowing an automatic splice of even the toughest scrim webs, while allowing the downstream process to continue running at speeds of up to 1000 fpm. The ability to splice tough-to-cut scrim materials at these speeds is the culmination of a nested accumulator to minimize floor space; a proprietary cut-off knife/bump roll assembly; and a splice preparation area which allows an operator to work safely on the new roll while the expiring roll operates at full line speed.
