Coveris Announces New Board Members
Coveris S.A. is pleased to announce the recent installation of three new independent members to its board of directors: Richard Passov, Luis Bach and Fernando Aguirre.
Passov most recently served as chief financial officer for Zoetis Inc., a manufacturer of animal health medications and vaccines. Passov will provide the board with a keen understanding of global financial market conditions and accounting practices. His work history includes serving as treasurer for Pfizer Inc. and assistant treasurer for Intel Corp. Passov resides in the New York City area.
Bach is currently a partner with the management consulting firm Monvic Consulting S.L. Currently residing in Barcelona, Spain, he served nearly seven years as the CEO for European beverage manufacturer Orangina Schweppes. Under his leadership, Orangina Schweppes grew to become one of Western Europe’s leading fruit drinks and non-cola beverage companies. He has acute international business experience, having previously served as regional director for Europe North, Middle East, Africa and India for Bacardi. He is also a director for Suntory Holdings Limited, a Japanese company with interests in food, beverages, restaurants, sports and services.
Aguirre, of Charlotte, N.C., is an investor and the founder of The Triple Play Group LLC, an investment organization which focuses on opportunities in professional sports.Aguirre’s is also the former chairman, CEO and president of Chiquita Brands International for nearly nine years. He also worked for over twenty three years at Procter & Gamble in a variety of management roles. Aguirre is also a director at Aetna Inc. a Fortune 100 health care benefits company and at Barry Callebaut AG the largest producer of chocolate in the world. Mr. Aguirre brings significant global business experience across different industries as well as expertise in governance and leadership from his participation in different boards during more than 10 years.
