Cortec’s newest innovation is M-141, a corrosion-inhibiting additive that can be used in aqueous acrylic emulsions and polyurethane dispersions to improve corrosion resistance and durability. M-141 is recommended for finished formulated paints, inks, or adhesives to enhance your end-product performance. Added at levels of 1 percent to 3 percent, it increases water resistance, coating hardness, substrate adhesion and chemical resistance. It supports applications in industrial wood, plastic, metal and vinyl coatings, and concrete sealers. This additive has good chemical compatibility; reacting with the protective film to provide better adhesion and permeability properties which in turn helps increase the corrosion resistance of a coating.
