Coveris Names New President of Americas Food & Consumer Products

August 31, 2015

Coveris, a global leader in packaging and coatings solutions, has announced that Craig Reese will be joining the organization as president of Americas Food & Consumer Products effective September 14.

In his new role, Reese will be responsible for leading the company’s recently formed Americas Food & Consumer Products business unit. He will be focused on building on the success seen by the business unit in 2015 and continuing the development and integration of the Latin American operations that were acquired during the recent purchase of Olefinas.

A graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas Lee Business School, Reese has nearly 30 years of marketing, sales, manufacturing, and general management experience. Most recently, Mr. Reese served as president, McDonald’s Distribution for Golden State Foods, a $5.7 billion food services company with 4,500 employees servicing 50 customers and 25,000 restaurants. Prior to this, Reese’s distinguished career has included serving as president of sales & marketing, senior vice president & general manager, executive vice president and chief operating officer at The Pepsi Bottling Group, PepsiCo and Benjamin Moore & Co, a Berkshire Hathaway company.

Reese’s vast experience includes a strong mix of local, regional and national operating roles; senior strategic management positions; and a good balance of field and headquarter assignments. While at PepsiCo, he led well over 200 U.S. bottling locations during his tenure, twice winning the prestigious Chairman’s Award for the top performing business unit in North America.

In addition to his work experience, Reese has also served as a volunteer board member for the Los Angeles Urban League, Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce and the California / Nevada Soft Drink Association. He currently co-chairs the North American Logistics Council for McDonald’s Corporation.

Reese will be based in Coveris’ headquarters location in Chicago, Ill.
