Optimum Plastics, a leading producer of custom engineered cast-embossed and high-barrier co-extruded blown films for the packaging, medical and industrial markets, has announced the startup of a new cast production line at its Wisconsin facility.

The new line is capable of producing custom cast-embossed film in up to 5 layers and can run multiple resin grades including polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon and various specialty polymers. It is anticipated the line will service Optimum’s unique market niches in customized short- to mid‐size production runs.
