Testing Machines, Inc. (TMI) has released a new version of its Elmendorf Tear Tester, the 83-76, for measuring a variety of substrates, including film. The new model offers improved electronic design and a large, 7-inch touch screen display. It enables easy changing of test parameters and measuring units and features a combination interchangeable augmenting weights and/or pendulums with capacities ranging from 200 to 6,400 grams. Results and stats are displayed on screen, can be exported to a removable USB drive, computer or sent to software for additional analysis.
