Nova Chemicals Corp. has appointed Julie Beck as its new senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Feb. 29.

Beck will be located at Nova Chemicals’ Pittsburgh-based U.S. Commercial Center. She previously worked as the vice president, finance and divisional CFO of Joy Global’s Underground Mining segment and has a background in corporate finance, treasury and strategy.

Beck will will succeed Todd Karran as CFO, who was named CEO in 2015.
