Bemis Receives FPA Highest Achievement Award for Ready Meals Pouch
Bemis Company Inc. has been honored by the Flexible Packaging Association with two 2016 Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards. The company has received ‘Best in Show’, for the Campbell’s Ready Meals pouch, and a silver award in the Technical Innovation category for the Smithfield Foodservice package that features Curwood Flow-Tite shrink rollstock film.
This self-venting Campbell's Ready-Meal Pouch is designed for busy consumers seeking convenient, portable meals, company officials say. Consumers can eat the meal directly out of the bowl-shaped pouch, which features controlled ventilation.
The Smithfield Foodservice Package with Curwood Flow-Tite Shrink Rollstock Film is a shrink bag alternative that creates a consistent and hermetic seal.
The awards were accepted on March 1 by Jim Ransom, president of Bemis in North America at the Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Ceremony in Naples, Florida.
