The FPA’s 60th-annual Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards were handed out earlier this month on March 1 as part of the awards ceremony at the FPA Annual Meeting in Naples, Florida. By now, we hope you’ve had a chance to check out the 19 packages that were honored with awards, as well as the 78 packages that were submitted total, via our interactive gallery, which you can find by clicking here.

But just in case you want more information on all the packages that earned awards and weren’t in attendance to see them for yourself when they were officially announced a few weeks ago, we’ve compiled a few videos for you, courtesy of the FPA.

This first video features the three judges for this year’s awards – which included yours truly (I know, I know, I have a face for radio); Bill Burke, executive vice president, Aperia International; and Dr. Robert Kimmel, Sc. D., Associate Professor, Director, Center for Flexible Packaging (CEFPACK), Clemson University – talking about the various packages and trends that were submitted for awards consideration.

The second video goes into further detail about each individual package that received a 2016 award.

Next year’s FPA Annual Meeting, where the 2017 Achievement Awards will be presented, is scheduled from March 1-3, 2017, and will be held at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Florida.

The FPA’s next scheduled event is its annual Fall Executive Conference, which will be held on October 6 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.
