Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker visited CMD Corporation as part of a recent 4-city tour throughout the state to highlight tax relief since he took office. Walker gave a 10-minute talk to a group of CMD employees, guests from Fox Valley Technical College, including President Susan May, and representatives from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

Additionally, several local and regional legislators and staff were present, including 57th District Representative Amanda Stuck (D-Appleton) and 56th District Representative David Murphy (R – Greenville).

CMD President Stephen Sakai introduced Walker, citing the state business tax credits and Wisconsin programs that the company has partnered with to grow.

“Collaborating with Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) through (its) International Market Access program, and Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) through the Workforce Advancement Training program at Fox Valley Technical College, has been instrumental in growing employment and sales for CMD.” says Sakai.

CMD increased exports by 35 percent and employment by 17 percent from 2011 to 2015.

“CMD recognizes the role the tax credits and programs have played in our success,” says Sakai. “The heart of a business is its people, and we are truly proud of ours. We have been diligently training to enhance our culture at CMD, and our employees have used their skills to improve efficiency and develop new equipment technology that brings meaningful value to our customers.”
