Kodak marked a significant milestone in the adoption of its flexographic plate technology with the 500th order of a KODAK FLEXCEL NX System. Multidruk, a Polish flexographic prepress provider that is also expanding its services to the rest of Europe, returned to Drupa 2016 to place an order for its second FLEXCEL NX System. The new FLEXCEL NX Wide System will be an addition to the mid-sized device they ordered at the show in 2012.

“We have continued to innovate and develop our advanced FLEXCEL NX technology platform since it was introduced at Drupa 8 years ago. To now celebrate our 500th installation is a key milestone and tangible proof that Kodak’s FLEXCEL NX technology has moved into the mainstream,” says Chris Payne, GM, Flexographic Packaging Solutions, Kodak. “While our customers invest in Kodak’s technology for the high quality it delivers, they stay for the long term due to the efficiency that our plates drive on press. Multidruk is a great example of how these benefits enable customers to grow their business as more printers switch from other processes to flexo.”
