As part of the grant, Nfinite will collaborate with three commercial partners: Amcor, PepsiCo, and Unilever – all of whom share the same mission in moving towards compostable and recyclable packaging solutions.

The collaboration brings together Koehler's global paper expertise and Metatex’s converting capabilities to deliver sustainable packaging solutions to the Pakistani market, the companies say. 

The collaboration will replace existing OPP/paper non-recyclable pre-made block bottom bags with fully recyclable paper-based ones.

Film will replace the previous multi-material structure made with three different types of plastic, which was not recyclable. In addition, the new film offers a 6% plastic weight reduction compared to the previous solution.

Position paper identifies six policy levers — Funding Model, Funding System Design, Fee-Setting & Eco-modulation, Performance Targets, Responsible End Markets, and Covered Materials — that states can use to build structured, harmonized EPR systems. 

Initiative aims to inform improved packaging design and recycling processes, ultimately contributing to a more circular economy for flexible plastic packaging.

Over the past year, the company has replaced over one million pounds of virgin polyethylene (PE) with post-consumer recycled (PCR) material.

Jung is now using a solution that is fully recyclable in the wastepaper stream, delivers the necessary performance in the filling process, and generates up to 30% fewer emissions than comparable conventional OPP or plastic composite films.

The new platform company will focus on acquiring and integrating high-performing flexible packaging manufacturers focused on producing specialty films and sustainable packaging solutions.

Acquisition will expand ProAmpac’s global footprint in sustainable packaging solutions and material science expertise.
