Country Pure Foods, a producer of juice-based products and a contract packaging solution for other beverage companies, is adding aseptic flexible packages from Ecolean to its product offering because of the package’s unique conveniences, shape and low environmental impact.

AZCO Corp. has designed and manufactured a VIP-100 pouch dispenser for an application which required cutting and dispensing sachets or pouches into containers at a rate of 250 to 295 per minute.

In the last year, as many as 350 brand owners and retailers globally have announced plans to make all of their packaging recyclable, compostable or reusable by the year 2025. At the same time, some of these companies are going a step further by saying they plan to reduce the use of virgin plastics in their packaging — often by as much as 50 percent. 

TC Transcontinental Packaging is adding two Windmoeller & Hoelscher VAREX II blown film lines, including one barrier line for its Whitby, Ontario plant. These new lines will support TC Transcontinental Packaging's growth in multilayer barrier films in North America and are scheduled to start up in the fall of 2019.
