Avery Dennison Materials Group (NYSE:AVY) has recognized nine pressure-sensitive industry suppliers during the company’s second supplier recognition ceremony, which was held at the Materials Group’s European Headquarters in the Leiden Bio Science Park in Oegstgeest, Netherlands on March 24. Winners were selected based on their performance in areas such as sustainability, innovation, service, overall value and quality.
Kanarski, a five-year member of SPE, is a process engineer at Davis-Standard supporting the company’s full range of extrusion product lines.

Davis-Standard’s Rich Kanarski has been nominated to the SPE (Society of Plastics Engineers) Board, Extrusion Division where he will serve as one of two young professionals on the 20-member board to support efforts in member services, including recruitment and outreach activities for others who are new to the extrusion industry.
UPM Raflatac disputes patent infringement claim, vows to continue to manufacture, supply film product in question.

Avery Dennison has filed a lawsuit in Germany against UPM Raflatac asserting that Raflex MDO infringes European Patent Number 2 049 333 B1, Avery Dennison’s patent on its Global MDOTM pressure-sensitive film product.
