Coveris was honored with the Flexible Pack of the Year award for its Waitrose dried nuts, fruits and berries package at the UK Packaging Awards. Specifically, the converter was recognized for its use of innovative reclose technology on the package.

The win marks a major triumph for Coveris’ flexible packaging division, which recently invested in new reclose machinery to allow it to double production capabilities of this format at their site in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Addressing a wide number of consumer trends, including improved convenience and reuse, ease of opening, better storage and reduced waste as a result of superior pack integrity, the format offers a smarter solution for today’s functional packaging needs.
