The Flexible Packaging Association is accepting entries for the FPA 2018 Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards Competition. This annual competition honors industry advancements in innovation and technology in flexible packaging that are meeting the challenges of today and delivering flexible packaging solutions for a multitude of products. 

The entry deadline is Friday, October 27, 2017. The official Call for Entries brochure is available on the FPA website, www.flexpack.org, and provides details of the competition rules, entry instructions, and entry fees. The competition is open to FPA Members. Non-members may enter a package if they have not participated in past competitions, and may only participate in the competition once as a non-member. FPA supplier members that have contributed to a package and received approval from the converter may enter jointly with, or on behalf of, the converter.

Winning entries of the 62nd Annual Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards competition will be announced on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, during the FPA 2018 Annual Meeting (March 13-15, 2018) at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. A panel of industry experts will judge competition entries. Gold and Silver Awards will be given in the following five categories: Expanding the Use of Flexible Packaging; Technical Innovation; Sustainability; Printing and Shelf Impact; and Packaging Excellence. The Flexible Packaging Highest Achievement Award will be presented to a Gold award-winning package ranked by the judges as having contributed most to the advancement of the industry.

All competition entries and winning packages will be featured in the FPA Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards & Innovation Showcase, which includes photos of submitted packages, package descriptions, and details about package manufacturers, end-users/customers, designers, and key suppliers. Winning entries will also be included in several industry trade publications including Flexible Packaging Magazine, Converting Quarterly, packagePRINTING, Packaging Digest, and Packaging World.
