Cloud Packaging Equipment (robertspackaging.com) announced the launch of the Robert’s SPF Single Point Fill Standup Pouch packaging machine for pre-made bags. The new machine offers users all the reliability and engineering excellence of the Robert’s IM Series at an entry-level price point.

The Robert’s SPF handles many sizes and styles of pre-made pouches, including reclosable stand-up bags. It fills and seals bags ranging from a few ounces to over 15 pounds, allowing users to fill individual snack packs and large club store sizes on a single machine. Package and product changeovers can be accomplished in twenty minutes or less.

This high-efficiency, low-maintenance servo-driven machine offers greater return-on-investment than competitive machines. It reduces waste with advanced pouch opening features and rejects bags that fail to open in a way that allows them to be reused.

“The Robert’s IM Series is famous for its traveling fill funnels,” says Kyle Scalise, Cloud global account manager. “Some companies don’t package at a volume that justifies the expense of that system, but they still want the reliability, flexibility and fast changeovers that Robert’s equipment provides. Now we offer the SPF machine to serve their needs. They can get a high quality, American-made piece of equipment at an entry-level cost.”

The SPF system is rated to run at up to 35 pouches per minute, as opposed to the IM Series with its traveling funnels at 60 pouches per minute.
