Rutgers University food science makes its PROCESS EXPO debut with food incubators, food industry trends and process technologies

July 23, 2015

The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) today announced the details of two sessions scheduled to make their debut at PROCESS EXPO 2015. Dr. Lou Cooperhouse of Rutgers University will present “Food Industry Trends and Product/Process Technologies Differentiating Your product in the Competitive Marketplace” on Wednesday, September 16 and “Food Incubators, Accelerators, Commercial Kitchens and University Pilot Plants: How to Apply these Facilities and Programs to Grow Your Business” on Thursday, September 17. These sessions are an integral part of the PROCESS EXPO UNIVERSITY educational program taking place from September 15-18, 2015 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

“These sessions provide unique benefits to food processors as they introduce a variety of resources that are available to local food businesses throughout the country,” said FPSA President and CEO David Seckman. “Unfortunately in many cases, we are not even aware that these programs exist. In these sessions, Dr. Cooperhouse will discuss incubations programs, pilot plants and federal research plants that food processors can utilize to develop products quicker, cheaper and with access to enhanced expertise that they might not yet have in their business. We are excited about these sessions as they provide the tools to truly help our customers be more successful in their business.”

Attendance to these sessions is free of charge for all registered attendees. Advance registration for PROCESS EXPO is $25 and $50 on-site. Given the high demand for these educational sessions, registrants are asked to sign up in advance to ensure their seat.
