Schur Star Packaging Systems Opens New North America Bag Conversion Facility
Schur Packaging Systems Inc., announces the opening of its new flexible packaging facility in Elk Grove Village, Ill., to support its fill-and-seal bagging system.
The company has relocated from Schaumburg, Ill., to this larger facility to enable further expansion of their flexible packaging business in North America. According to Kevin Howard, president of Schur Packaging Systems, “This larger facility will enable a three-time increase in capacity for our packaging products as we continue our growth into the North America packaging market.”
The Schur Star bagging system allows companies to package a wide variety of products using Schur’s pre-made bags and SchurStar packaging machine. The two are designed to work in combination to deliver as much as 80 filled and sealed bags per minute with fast changeovers and simple machine operation.
Howard says, “There is virtually no limit to the products you can package on this machine and changeovers take less than 10 minutes. This system enables small companies to have sophisticated packaging with a relatively low investment while providing large companies a cost effective way to test and launch into new markets.”
Schur Packaging Systems will be demonstrating the machine at booth S-6890 at Pack Expo West this week.
