Jindal Poly Films Wraps Buy of ExxonMobil Global BOPP Film Business
New Delhi, India-based Jindal Poly Films, Ltd., has completed its acquisition of ExxonMobil Chemical's global BOPP films business as of Oct. 1.
The deal covers five BOPP production sites in the US and Europe. The manufacturing plants are located in Georgia and Oklahoma, and in Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium. The purchase also includes a technology center and sales office in Rochester, NY, and an office in Luxembourg.
The acquisition makes JPFL one of the leading makers of flexible packaging films globally with a combined capacity of about 445,000 metric tons per year of BOPP film, the company says.
