Shashank Sinha has been appointed as executive vice president of flexible packaging and member of the group executive team reporting to CEO Jukka Moisio.

Sinha will head the group's global flexible packaging business segment and be based in Mumbai, India. Shashank Sinha joins Huhtamaki from Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., where he was President, International Business. Prior to Godrej, Shashank has worked at Navis Capital Partners in India as well as in various senior management positions in Sara Lee Corporation and Reckitt Benckiser Group, located in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Suresh Gupta, executive vice president of flexible packaging and a long-term member of Huhtamaki management will step aside from the role of executive vice president and continue as a senior advisor for the group, reporting to CEO Jukka Moisio.

Following the aforementioned changes the members of the group executive team include: Jukka Moisio chairman and chief executive officer; Thomas Geust, director of finance; Sari Lindholm, senior vice president of human resources; Clay Dunn, executive vice president of North America; Olli Koponen, executive vice president of molded fiber; Eric Le Lay, executive vice president of foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania; Shashank Sinha, executive vice president of flexible packaging; and Peter Wahsner, executive vice president of films.
